The Summer Curriculum: More Than Just Play
The summer is a perfect time to get youth who go to traditional public school a taste of what The WYLD Lands has to offer. Ensure your child has 4 uninterrupted hours of play in nature away from technology by signing them up for our week long summer camps. This program is offered to potty trained children ages 3 to 12.
Practice with Tools
Under guidance, our youth learn the safe and functional use of real-world tools. From the art of whittling with a pocket knife to using a handsaw to cut tree limbs youth grow confidence and skills.
Learning with the land
The North Carolina landscape is our textbook. Campers become junior naturalists as they identify local flora and fauna, uncovering the rich history of our native ecosystem.
Motor Skills
We swap the gym for the forest. Through hiking, climbing, and carrying items, children develop essential gross motor skills, balance, and physical resilience.
A WEEK OFPURE CHILDHOOD
From our morning meetings, to playing in the woods, to having lunch with friends our schedule strikes the perfect balance between excitement and restorative “forest time.”
When: Monday – Friday (June, July, beginning of August)
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
The Result: A child who returns home tired, happy, and brimming with stories of new skills and lasting friendships.
Cost: $125 for your first week. Additional weeks can be added on for $95.
