Our latest sessions at Highland Park have been a whirlwind of child-led exploration and hands-on discovery. This week, our Homeschool Seedlings took the lead, transforming a fallen branch into a complex “forest kitchen” where they “cooked” with mud, dirt, and water. Meanwhile, our campers have been busy mastering the art of shelter building, learning to safely use real tools to create structures that stand up to the wind. Whether they are solving problems in the dirt or identifying tracks near the creek, every moment is a step toward building greater self-esteem and independence. It is truly a joy to watch our young adventurers grow rooted in their surroundings while letting their imaginations run wild beneath the trees.
